![]() I know of no programmatic way to tell if a variable is intrinsically a value or reference type. Object cloning is one of the few times when it can make a big difference. ![]() PHP treats variables as either 'values types' or 'reference types', where the difference is supposed to be transparent. Here are some cloning and reference gotchas we came up against at Last.fm.ġ. It's also shinier, and it happened a few times I can not see the white lines of a sketch I'm editing because of this.Getting Started Introduction A simple tutorial Language Reference Basic syntax Types Variables Constants Expressions Operators Control Structures Functions Classes and Objects Namespaces Enumerations Errors Exceptions Fibers Generators Attributes References Explained Predefined Variables Predefined Exceptions Predefined Interfaces and Classes Predefined Attributes Context options and parameters Supported Protocols and Wrappers Security Introduction General considerations Installed as CGI binary Installed as an Apache module Session Security Filesystem Security Database Security Error Reporting User Submitted Data Hiding PHP Keeping Current Features HTTP authentication with PHP Cookies Sessions Dealing with XForms Handling file uploads Using remote files Connection handling Persistent Database Connections Command line usage Garbage Collection DTrace Dynamic Tracing Function Reference Affecting PHP's Behaviour Audio Formats Manipulation Authentication Services Command Line Specific Extensions Compression and Archive Extensions Cryptography Extensions Database Extensions Date and Time Related Extensions File System Related Extensions Human Language and Character Encoding Support Image Processing and Generation Mail Related Extensions Mathematical Extensions Non-Text MIME Output Process Control Extensions Other Basic Extensions Other Services Search Engine Extensions Server Specific Extensions Session Extensions Text Processing Variable and Type Related Extensions Web Services Windows Only Extensions XML Manipulation GUI Extensions Keyboard Shortcuts ? I do have a small but annoying issue left. (I also have a "recycle bin" part for stuff that I think I want to delete, but so I can easily turn them back when I change my mind. I also have a part called "Genuine Master Parts" It has the original sketch, and also original imports of STEP files, and from that I use clones and copies throughout the drawing. A few days later I changed my mind again and went for UNP120, and I just had to move the parts and adjust some plates to make it all fit again. I first used UNP160, and transformed them to UNP200. I can also make pockets in such padded clones.Īnd I've made good use of it. So in the end I deleted all the other sketches and pads, and made new pads from the cloned sketches. ![]() Due to past experience I'm also apprehensive with experimenting too much, as it tended to make FreeCAD more unreliable. Maybe a sketch in a pad can be replaced by the clone of another sketch, but I had too much trouble experimenting with this. I had to delete all (except one) of the old sketches, and their pads. Cloning a sketch from the Draft workbench as chrisb wrote works good in my use case.
